The Pathway Program provides an opportunity for employees of Montgomery County Public Schools to achieve academic success and advance professional goals. Through this program, you can get on the path to certification by taking undergraduate courses in high-demand content areas and courses toward a Master of Arts in Teaching at University of Maryland Global Campus at no tuition cost to you, up to your employer's annual tuition assistance allowance. Plus, if you're a new student, you can save $50 with our application fee waiver through the program.

Noteworthy program benefits include the following:

Specialized undergraduate degree programs and transfer credit review process

Free Praxis Prep materials, coaching, and a virtual community board

Upon completion of an undergraduate pathway, students will earn 12 graduate credits toward the MAT program

MCPS will provide field work/internships to Pathway Program participants so students will be able to complete the MAT program internship while maintaining employment
