Effective July 1, 2019, University of Maryland University College (UMUC) changed its name to University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC).

University of Maryland Global Campus is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 1007 North Orange Street, 4th Floor, MB #166, Wilmington, DE 19801, an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. UMGC is a constituent institution of the University System of Maryland and is governed by the USM Board of Regents. UMGC is certified to operate in Virginia by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). University of Maryland Global Campus, 9625 Belvoir Road, Barden Education Center, Building 1017, Room 128, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060.

Active-duty military personnel and their spouses, members of the Selected Reserves and National Guard, and some dependent children of active-duty military personnel are eligible for military tuition rates. Commissioned corps members of the U.S. Public Health Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their spouses and some dependent children are also included under the military rate. In addition, honorably discharged veterans who reside in or are domiciled in Maryland are eligible for the Maryland resident tuition rate. Please see IV.
