The Doctoral Commencement will be held at the College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. The Marriott does not provide wheelchairs but is wheelchair accessible.
Commencement for associate, bachelor's, and master's degree graduates will take place in the Xfinity Center at University of Maryland, College Park. While the Xfinity Center is wheelchair accessible, this facility does not provide wheelchairs. Please plan ahead.
UMGC staff members will be on hand to assist graduates and guests with special needs.
Sign language interpreters will translate each of the weekend ceremonies, and closed captioning will be provided.
The live webcast will also be closed captioned.
Graduates are responsible for requesting specific accommodations, including special parking arrangements, for themselves and their guests. Graduates should submit requests when they RSVP for a ceremony. Graduates who request accommodations will receive detailed information and a parking pass for the Terrapin Trail Garage adjacent to Xfinity Center.
Doctoral ceremony graduates who request accommodations will also receive a packet of information; however, no parking pass is necessary to park at the UMGC Marriott Hotel and Conference Center garage.
